DCP CREATION

The first step in the DCP process is for you to send us your film in a ProRes format. You can either ship us a drive with the film on it, or you can upload it to us and we'll take it from there. If you want to send us something besides ProRes that's fine too, we only mention ProRes since it's the most common format we receive and the most flexible for creating a DCP.

Once we've received your film you just sit back and wait for us to complete your DCP. Once we've had a short chat about your film and your needs, we'll know what has to get done. No need to worry if we ask you a technical question about your film you don't know. We're also here to walk you through everything, should it be needed, and explain things in an everyday language so we're all on the same page.

Once your digital cinema package is complete, we run it through multiple tests and a validation process to ensure everything came through properly and to avoid any mishaps during screening. We're so particular about this in fact, that a lot of times this is the most time consuming step in the process.

After the creation and testing, your DCP is complete and is delivered to you, or your festival, in a professionally packaged hard case with foam insert. Everything is neatly labeled and a spec sheet is added for whomever is screening the DCP. Should you need it, we can also ship the digital cinema package to the festival of your choice.

Once everything is complete and delivered, all that's left to do is to have a great screening of your film and celebrate with the cast and crew. We even provide a liaison service at no charge between us and the festival or projectionist. This ensures that should the festival or projectionist have any questions, they'll be getting the right answers directly from the source.
